The doctor is out!

We had a chance to visit an old aquaintence, a leftover nemesis, and after a bit of elbow grease and a lot of effort from everybody, we finally got Anub'Arak down on heroic!

Oh, we also did it with more than 25 tries to go, so we scored a Tribute to Skill as well!

A new wing was out in ICC, and we just couldn't resist going to check out the party in The Crimson Hall. It didn't take long before the Princes was put to sleep for good!

Festergut and Rotface are certainly very interesting fights, and they posed quite a challenge for us when you add all the lag Hellscream had on wednesday. When the lag cleared, however, they went down in short order!

A new patch is out, and our band of hearthy adventures went into Icecrown Citadel - and completely obliterated everything inside! It was a very fun evening for all of us, and we are all quite happy with the new content. We are now mere months away from reaching Arthas!

Pardon us, we forgot the killshot from Saurfang, but please enjoy the pretty screenshot of our achievement.

After a wonderfull night of 10 man raiding, a group finished off by paying a visit to Algalon the Observer in Ulduar 10. And it was only on the third try that Mr. Galon had a change of heart, and decided that we could live!

Groups has been going hard through Trial of the Grand Crusader 10 man, and tonight we reached a new milestone as Team Awesome cleared the whole place with 50 attempts left. Well done everybody!

I have been meaning to put the odd bit of news up to accompany these screenshots for a while now, and what better time than on completion of 'Glory of the Ulduar Raider'. Huge congratulations to all who have been involved in this and got their drakes - if you excuse the cheesy-rip title above, the various hard modes have been quite a journey, very enjoyable for me to lead and we've all worked very hard! Along with the kills, there have been wipes and facepalm moments, but we did it. Completing this meta also coincides quite nicely with the six month anniversary of the guild's creation. When Escapism formed and was up to full raiding strength, we'd lost a few weeks in Ulduar - in fact we just managed to clear the antechamber the same reset other guilds on the server downed Yogg-Saron. For us to manage to get server third Ironbound Drakes and without having totally neglected Trial of the Grand Crusader (three of five bosses down there) doesn't seem to be bad going, even if I do say this myself!

There have been high and low points over the past few months. We've welcomed a fair few new faces from both on - and off - server, without whom none of this would have been possible. We've sadly also had to say farewell to some old faces due to various aspects of real life. Summer can be a struggle for even well established guilds, and for us as a guild still finding our feet it was no exception - there were cancelled raids, there was frustration at times - but for the most part we persevered and here we are now. It's no secret that we don't have a Legendary Mace yet. After a slow start as I said above, the healer we were giving fragments to managed to accumulate around the twenty mark but then sadly announced he was quitting playing. We're now back to about the same level with a different healer - but again, due to business commitments the chap has had to step back a bit from raiding - we've now dubbed collecting for Val'anyr "The curse of the fragments"! Depending on when ICC hits, we may or may not t hen have our first legendary mace, but even if we don't have one hopefully we won't be at a massive disadvantage.

So where to next? Well, we're yet to pay Algalon a visit on 25 man and haven't really looked at him on ten man, so that will be very much a fresh fight for the guild to get its teeth into! And now GOTUR is done, we can turn our full attention to ToTGC. Apart from that, we will probably mop up the various other achievements left in Ulduar (not getting hit by lol eye beams on Kologarn etc... hmmm :D) and above all just prepare for facing the Lich King in what we hope will be the best content patch of the expansion! So again thanks to all in Escapism for their dedication and patience on finishing this meta, and thanks to Hellscream for being largely welcoming while we became established and tolerant of our constantly bumped recuitment thread (!) - here's to the next six months and I hope you'll be hearing much more from us.
